Want to make a positive impact in the lives of veterans and military families?
When I’m not working or volunteering, I love spending quality time with my family—whether it’s sharing laughs over a game of Fortnite with my kids and friends or teaming up with my husband in an MMORPG adventure. I’m naturally curious and enjoy researching new topics, exploring professional development opportunities, and continuously learning to grow both personally and professionally. From time to time, I also write blog posts, sharing insights, reflections, and tips. You can check out some of my latest notes and musings below.
My leadership philosophy is rooted in servant leadership—putting others first, listening, and helping people succeed. As the Operations Manager at the Rose Hill Veterans and Military Family Center, I focus on creating programs and opportunities that empower student veterans and military-connected families to thrive academically, professionally, and personally. I strive to meet people where they are, lift them up, and support their growth every day.
Previously, as the Veterans Career Services Liaison at Fordham University, I supported student veterans in exploring career opportunities, preparing for the workforce, and connecting with employers who value their skills. Through the Women Veterans Leadership Program and the Student Veterans of America Leadership Institute, I've learned how to mentor and empower fellow student veterans, helping them build confidence and develop leadership skills.
I also continue to engage with the broader community through volunteer work with organizations like New York Cares, the Department for the Aging (DFTA), and veteran-focused initiatives such as Vets2Industry, the Travis Manion Foundation, The Mission Continues, and the ETS Sponsorship Program.
In every role, my approach is guided by service, empathy, and impact, because I believe true leadership comes from empowering others to succeed.
It's truly an honor to be nominated as one of the top 10 student veterans of the year in the country!
I was extremely lucky to have amazing veteran leadership at Student Veterans of America at Fordham (SVAF)! Matthew Butler (Director of the Fordham Office and Military and Veterans Services) and Steven Hellman (Assistant Director of the Fordham Office and Military and Veterans Services), thank you for your unwavering support and dedication to ensure our student veterans' success.
In addition to SVAF, being a part of the Career Services team under the mentorship of Cheretta Robson (Senior Associate Director of Career Services), is equally crucial to my personal and professional growth. I could not have asked for a better mentors. You are all a huge part of my success as a student veteran at Fordham. Thank you!
I'm proud of my roots and where I came from.
My family and I immigrated from the Philippines in 2006, a journey made possible by my late grandmother and late grandfather, who sacrificed everything to give us the opportunity for a better life here in the United States. Their love, vision, and courage laid the foundation for everything my family and I have been able to achieve.
My mother, who raised me as a single parent, has since joined them in the Heavens, and I carry her strength and guidance with me every day. The lessons she instilled—the importance of resilience, integrity, and kindness—remain my compass.
I am committed to living with the servant leadership mentality that my family so deeply modeled for me. Life has presented its share of ups and downs, triumphs and challenges, but I sincerely hope that my actions honor their sacrifices and make them proud.
As I move forward, I will continue to carry the torch of our family with empathy, compassion, and a willingness to meet people where they are. I strive to serve others, uplift those around me, and embody the values that my family worked so hard to pass down.
